Confirmation Retreat 2016!

 The class of 2016 preparing for Confirmation this coming April 22, 2016 went to Our Lady Fatima Shrine in Holliston for their annual retreat.

 Mr. Drummey, the Director of Religious Education and Director of this program, prepared an excellent outline for the day that included teachings by Father Peter DeFazio, Deacon Jonathon Frels and Mr. Drummey himself. The teachings were about the need to participate of Sunday Mass, the Courage to give witness of our faith and be Companions of Jesus.

 We began the day with some prayers and dynamics followed by two excellent witness talks by former students of this program. Freddy Nieves Jr. and Valerie Valdivia got the group going with their excellent talks, then we went to the beautiful grounds of the Shrine to say the Rosary and hear the Story of Fatima. We came back to the hall for some pizza and fellowship, icebreakers and we concluded with a moment of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament lead by Father Paco.

 Forty-eight candidates will receive confirmation this year. We were also join by four other students from Hopkinton, Holliston and Sherborne. All in all, it was a great day and the students were very pleased.

 We congratulate Mr. Drummey for his perennial enthusiasm in sharing the faith with younger generations, and all those who helped us with the retreat this year.
